Trustworthiness is one of the most important traits I look for in a person whether it is in a friend or date. Being lied to and cheated on have been very difficult things for me in the past, so it is important to me to find a trustworthy, loyal, and honest man with whom I can feel comfortable and secure. Also, I tend to attract head-game playing men - I'm not into games; I won't play them, so I'm definitely not interested in a casual hook-up or anyone who's mind is still in high school. Dependability is also huge with me -if a guy tells a girl he's going to do something, he needs to follow through. Don't say you'll call if you never intended to do so; don't string a woman along for kicks and giggles. Be mature and dependable.

I'd like to meet a man who is trustworthy, honest, loyal, respectful, gentle, kind, compassionate, intelligent, witty, affectionate, loving; a man who treats me like my father would want me to be treated, yet is not a pushover either. I am looking for the guy who will be my best friend, someone who's not just there to love me when things are new and great, but who loves me unconditionally and who will always have my best interests at heart. I want to meet someone that I can have fun goofing off with, who I can be a FANATIC football fan with,to do all kinds of outdoorsy things with me, and who will be content cuddling up with me on the couch watching a good movie. I'm fairly easy to please - not really high maintenance except in regards to how I expect to be treated by the man I date. I always give 150% of who I am in a relationship and I only ask for the same in return.

Just being with someone who allows me to be myself is important to me. I am fairly open-minded about people I meet as far as how often they exercise, what they eat, what they do for a living, etc., and I have found in dating recently, that there are a lot of close-minded people in the world, who have very preconceived ideas and specifications for how their date should be. I can honestly say that I am a unique person - I do not fit any specific mold, so the kind of people I enjoy being around the most are the ones who accept me for who I am unconditionally. When I am allowed to be myself, I can be a real hoot to be around! :)

I don't really think there is such a thing as a perfect date, rather just being with a person you enjoy being with and spending time with. The "perfect" date might not be so perfect with the wrong person, but with the right person, I think you can do almost anything and the date be perfect because of that person you're with. That said, when I lived in CA, I loved watching the sunset from the pier or from the beach; I love being outdoors, on the water, or doing just about anything fun in the sun :).I am a romantic at heart, so I also enjoy quiet dinners with a bottle of wine and good music.
