A Realist, truly an eclectic intellectual oddity and ostensibly an enigma, I do my best to stay beyond the grasp of the American mainstream. In part, my nature is that of a practical Realist; optimism is often self-deceit and pessimism can shackle creativity. Passion is often an addiction destructive of unalienable right; and the glass is half-full because it is being filled, half-empty because it is being drained. I define my place in time and space through the observance of a number of useful aspects of life - a few of those are: "I think, therefore I exist" (Descartes), Human responsibilty (Sartre's Existentialism and Human Emotions), the tenets of Buddhism, teachings of Jesus (pre-Paul), a pursuit of Immutable Truth, and of course a periodic "polling" of how I exist within any social group; hence, my social and political behavior arises from conscience. Notwithstanding this, I align best as an Agnostic for group energy often evolves a beguiling fanaticsm. My Myers-Briggs personality is strongly an INTJ. I'm not "open-minded" in the modern sense, but rather one who inquires ceaselessly about the matters of life. Flexible I am, but when one describes my character, "easy-going" is not used by some. I am an independent voter. I am not a sports enthusiast. I am not a lover of domestic pets but do study and enjoy the Wild Kingdom; however, felines have taken up with me from time to time. Very good listener, good ability to understand another's viewpoint, and loyal.

Things that have bothered me:

An older person with an unknown or erratic philosophy of
life.
"Going-with-the-flow" - meaning, acting so for the reasoning
that it is "politically correct", or that reward is possible, or
finding it easier so as to not create ripples or tears in the fabric
of one's reality. Worse yet, no thought at all given to it.
"Group-think" which forces conformity upon the members.

Music genre enjoyed are: odd Jazz, some Punk, Techno, Trance, Industrial, Celtic Folk, Gregorian Chants and other inspirational-devotional music, some older and often obscure Rock, some Classical. A few examples of performing music artists that I enjoy are: Fad Gadget, Elastica, Human League, Bigod 20, Future Sound of London, The Prodigy, Filter, KMFDM, Biohazard, Front 242, The Shamen, Gipsy, Katana, Trancesetters, United Future Organization, James Hardway, Information Society, The Higher Intelligence Agency, Enya, Ekova, Lost At Last, Delerium, Silly Wizard, Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.

Of course I'm willing to compromise. However, if one finds a truly compatible partner then not much compromise should be necessary. Compatibility consists of similar and complementary aspects of the character of each person.

There is no woman in my life at this time, and there has not been for over 3 years, now. There is nothing that I need to put behind me in order to go forward, for with the passing of the present the future unfolds.

My typical day:

Get up, get the daughter off to school, work, pick the daughter up from school, interact further with daughter, prepare and eat dinner, assist daughter with homework if she requests it, then, sleep. Weekends: work, learn, play, rest around home, or off to somewhere for some other kind of entertainment.
