When it comes to “what am I looking for in a woman”, gee, I could be ponderously specific about everything…hair color, eye color, bust size, dress size, shoe size, education, the sound of her voice, etc., etc., etc. But the truth is, the women I have dated have all been different…and I have found things to love and appreciate in each one of them. I wouldn’t presume to exclude anyone. Of course I have preferences, and just like any healthy male, I want to be physically attracted to my mate, and have her be physically attracted to me as well. But (and this is a big but!) there are many things that make a woman attractive, and they are not all about physical appearance.

I just gave up wondering who mine was with”. And although I smiled when I read that, it is a bit cynical. I’m not that jaded yet.
I suspect we would all like to believe in love-at-first-sight; it’s fun, it’s intoxicating, it’s exciting. But I also believe in giving things time to develop. Okay, maybe that first encounter wasn’t exactly thrilling…and it may just be that the other person needs a bit more time than you do, to open up and be comfortable with you. People can surprise you with unforeseen depth. If you are lucky enough to have that “Fairy Tale” meeting, that’s great. But I’d rather have a “Fairy Tale Ending”. I think too often we sell people short, make an instant decision, and decide that we won’t settle for anything less than love at first sight.
