My humor is somewhat off beat. I am technically oriented so some have said that I would rather try and fix a problem then listen to one vent.

People that think of themselves as the most important person turn me off. Selfishness. I have a hard time finding fault with people and this question is difficult to answer without sounding completely negative. So my short answer is most things to excess begin to annoy. When your actions start to reach the point where you exclude those around you then your either very talented or too self absorbed to be much of a friend.

I would like someone who is not quick to judge a person and accepting of other's opinion. I want someone who likes adventure, enjoys local history and time together. Someone who is active.

Currently I have been listening to a lot of folk music. I like Cream, Tom Waites, and acapella music. Except for loud and rap music I like most music. Sometimes I turn on a foreign station to listen.

Being able to laugh at oneself makes me feel at ease. Someone who can find a positive in a bad experience gives me hope. I enjoy people willing to try new things and is accepting of ones' screw ups and shortcomings.

I would enjoy meeting someone even just for a day. Ultimately I want it to be a long term relationship, but that is something you only only know in time. I had met someone (on another site) and enjoyed all the months we spent together.

I am looking to start a new friendship. Probably want to live in Massachusetts for the next few years to be near my children.

My typical day:

I like waking up early. It gives me time to myself. Sometimes I listen to the news or the radio. I take the train to work. If I have the time I might get off the train a stop or two early and walk through the city or head to the waterfront and watch the boats and birds. I work till six then maybe go out for a beer. I try to do some volunteer work at least once each week.

Things I would like to do: Hot air balloon ride, buy a boat and live on it, take a cruise, go pan for gold or diamonds, join the peace corps, go to a folk music festival in the Carolinas. There is not much that I can think of that I wouldn't be willing to try. I have no interest in hunting with a gun.
