The higher the stakes the more I try to compromise. It doesn't always work, but I do try, especially if a person I care about is involved in the situation. I've compromised myself in the past repeatedly in relationships, and it's something that, now that I'm aware of it, I'm determined to actually look out for myself so that I don't end up feeling used and miserable.
