My dad's boss was coming over for dinner that evening. I had a set of old batteries that didn't have much juice left, so put them on top of one of the burners on the stove and turned on the heat, believing that this would re-energize them. I left them on the range for too long, and one of the batteries exploded, its top ding itself into the kitchen ceiling and spilling black powder all over the floor and walls. My sister wrote an essay for school called, "How My 17-Year-Old Brother Blew Up a Battery."

I am unusual and don't fit in inasmuch as I mostly listen to classical music and once played the violin as a hobby. I have read the book, "The Soloist" which is a true story which is going to be made into a film with Jamie Foxx.

Someone who is accepting and open-minded. Someone who appreciates art and classical music. I have a certain kind of disability that is not readily noticeable, so I would do best with someone who is tolerant and objective about this.

The Internet has not yielded any results as of yet for me. I would be willing to write to another member indefinitely. This seems to be a good way to get to know someone. I know that most women probably like to feel comfortable with someone before actually meeting the other person, and that is reasonable, prudent way to look at it. Other commercial matching services that charge a few have some members who are not there for sincere reasons. I am sincere and am willing to be honest. I hope others are as well.

I would like to make a friend or two. If I were to develop more of a long-term relationship with someone, she would have to be aware and understand that it would not be possible for me to financially support someone else as I have a disability, so it would have to be a very compatible, trusting, positive relationship with someone who is in a better situation than am I, pratically speaking.

I would be open to suggestions; anything other than some kind of sporting event. I have to get up early to feed the cat, then go back to bed. Then, I retrieve the newspaper and read it.
