DAVIS315 seeks long term - An honest partner willing to both give and take

I'm a single dad with two daughters; one a doctor and the other in ninth grade. While the younger has had a tough life with, first her mother, and then her stepmother leaving, she currently wants to be a forensic pathologist and she's well on her way to achieving that goal. I've been self employed for over 30 years now providing computer services. It's funny that it was much easier when the problems were electronics design or hardware issues than it is today when all I seem to do is "jousting with Bill". An incurable romantic and optimist, I have always lived up to the promises I made, and though battered and worn, I would promise nothing less than the best of my love. What matters most is communication; a willingness to hear, listen, forgive, and to have faith. None of us is perfect and, as we age, it becomes even more vital that we examine what we want, how we can help each other achieve those wants, and to understand what, really, is important. I don't mind doing the chores (heck, I've been doing most of them for over a decade now), I'm very easygoing and flexible, I'm too smart for my own good, and I always give more than I ask.
