When I lived in Japan, I was five and we went to a carnival. I won a goldfish that they put in an untied baggie. I went to the bathroom holding my fish and got my pants down, but then could not get them up with one hand. I couldn't put down my fish and I couldn't go outside, so I yelled for my mom to come in the bathroom. She finally did, and had to see all the old Japanese men in the bathroom as she came to get me.

Always need to compromise and be flexible. When going on a backpacking trip in Utah, our students want to experience certain areas of Moab. I have been on the trip several years in a row and would want to do something different, but know we are there for the students and have them have a say in what they want to do. So, I go to the spots they want.

Of course, it is tough to be perfect, but you could always have a good experience if you enjoy the company of the person, doesn't matter what you are doing. A little hokey? Yes, but nonetheless, true. If in the mountains, it would be cool to hike around a nice area, maybe with a stream or a little waterfall, bring my dog and let him run around. Have a little lunch and hang out. If in the city, cook with each other, maybe go to a place you haven't been in awhile, The Mint, Museum of Nature and Science, zoo, State Capitol, etc.

My Wish List Includes:

Definitely travel. That is what I would like to do the most. I just went to China in the summer and it was great. Chairman Mao, Great Wall, Summer Palace, it was all good. It would be nice to go anywhere and not have to check on your house, or make sure you stop the mail, or make sure the insurance gets paid, etc. I believe that is what holds people back. I would also want to explore the United States more and go to every state.
