I like to think people think well of me. Lately I suppose they would describe me as brave or something equally ambiguous, since I joined the Army. What they have to remember is that I'm the same person I always was, just doing something new.
I get the impression my friends value my input on many things and take my word seriously, I give it rarely and always keep it.

Things that have bothered me:

A lot of people I know are less open-minded than I am. That really bothers me about people I associate with, I need to know they're not going to say or do something I have to apologize for. Because I know people from all walks of life and many many different creeds and faiths.

As stated above, open-mindedness is crucial. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing I enjoy more than badgering the small-minded among us about their perfect world being jacked up. I'd rather not have that tension with those I hang out with.
Intelligence is key as well. I'm no genius, but I'm reasonably alive. At least be able to hold a conversation about something other than cars, sports, Paris Hilton or video games. Other than that, it's open season on topics.

I could regale you with my crack-whore story (I guarantee it's not what you think) or the time I had a case of mistaken identity and outran a cop while handcuffed. Neither one contains anything too horrifying, and both are hilarious.

When it comes to being comfortable, how can you put a name to it? Either you are or you aren't. I get the impression I'm easy to be cofortable around, which kinda sucks sometimes. There are people you WANT to make uncomfortable so they leave you alone, I can't seem to find a way to do that. So I guess there's your answer, I just am comfortable around people.

I'm ready to go. Haven't had a relationship in about 5 years. Personal issues to deal with you know.

Well what can I say, it's army life as a private. By 8am I've done more than most people do all day. We train alot, sometimes get to shoot stuff. Soon I'll be off to Korea, then maybe the Sandbox.
As far as dating goes, it's been awhile, I'm sure I suck at it. A shining endorsement.

I would like to sky-dive sometime. Although I will not be going for Airborne school anytime soon, those guys are nuts (we have a saying, "Two things fall out of the sky, birdsh*t and idiots.") Also I want to build my house somewhere in the wide-open spaces of the world, live off the grid as it were. A pipe-dream probably, but a dream nonetheless.
