My friends sometimes say that I am too nice. I genuinely try to help others, whether or not they have ever helped me in any way. So far, I've been able to forgive many injustices done against me by others. I don't hold grudges. Some of my friends think I allow myself to be taken advantage of, but those who know me best know that I know my limits and I will stand up for myself when necessary. I may be able to forgive, but that doesn't mean all is forgotten. To forget would be setting both of us up for disappointment. Rebuilding, not forgetting is the tactic I prefer.

People who do not respect me are the most bothersome. While we may disagree, I expect a certain amount of respect for my personal beliefs, opinions, choices, and values. The people that are closest to me are those who can hear me out, consider what I've said, and offer their own thoughts on the matter.

One of the greatest qualities I look for in a friend is the ability to laugh in virtually any situation. I am drawn to people with compassion and energy. I try to surround myself with people of varied interests so we can learn from each other as well as have an array of experiences together. I prefer hard working people with open-minds and open hearts. I love to engage in conversations about social/humanitarian issues with people.

I've met people off the internet a few times before. A couple were disappointing and a couple were really wonderful. I'd be willing to meet someone from here, but not right off the bat. I like to get to know someone for a while first.

Are you ready to start from scratch?

"Starting from scratch" would feel like surrender to me. I have worked really hard to get where I am professionally, artistically, socially, and spiritually. Others may not be able to look at my present situation and see that immediately, but it's important to me that a new relationhip involves both people bringing a wealth of experiences and [hopefully similar] goals/dreams to start building upon as a team. I don't think one or both should be expected to "start from scratch." Instead, start with what you've both got and see where it leads.

I am constantly setting new goals for myself. Generally, those will include something work/career related. I have many personal goals as well for my living situation, volunteering, joining clubs/groups etc. I also have a "To Do" list of things I want to do someday in this life such as (but not limited to) visiting Australia, sky-diving, swimming in the ocean, skinny dipping, learning to sail, spending the night in a haunted house, and singing a professional solo.
