I could write something like a recipe of the woman I am looking for. But many times I follow the recipe and the product leaves to be desired. That is because there is that missing ingredient called chemistry. But when it is present, wow, all of my senses are stimulated and fulfilled, beyond reason, in a mind blowing way. So,

#1): I want to find someone with whom I have affinity. What is affinity? My favourite deffinition is: "An attraction or force between particles that causes them to combine". The attraction between those particles just happens, whether they want to or not. It is there or it isn't. Same thing happens with people; people don't choose whether they'll have affinity between them or not, it is either there ir it isn't. And I am looking for that one woman with whom there will be affinity, mutual vibrations, to our voice, our touch, personality, passions, looks, scent, stare, smile, etc. where we will be so comfortable with the other, like we are "at home" with the other. Now, is chemistry or affinity enough? To me, it is necessary, but not enough, which brings me to:

#2): We need a catalyst, or that set of special/ideal conditions that make it likely for the affinity to not only occur, but last for a long time. To me, those conditions are given by our interests, outlook in life, goals, things we may have in common. Granted, we can be incredibly attracted to people who have nothing in common with us, but we also know that a relationship under those conditions is not likely to last long. And I am ultimately looking for a long-lasting, mutually rewarding and fulfilling relationship.

I'd love to hear from you, if one or more of the below apply to you: (again, these are just some of the traits of women whose company I have enjoyed immensely, as friends or as partners. This not a recipe, or a list of "requirements". Most of the items I mention below also describe who I am, what I am about.).

Smile often.
Are open to meeting someone from a slightly different culture than yours. I am from Venezuela, so even though I have adapted very well to the North American culture, I keep some of my root values and culture.
You are open to trying things that are new to you, even if you feel you might not like them. You believe that by trying those new things you are growing as a person, learning about yourself. At the very least you try new things because that will be another unique opportunity for us to spend quality time together. I will do the same with you, trying things you enjoy that may be new to me.
Are spiritual. I am spiritual but not religious. You at least are open to the notion that there is more out there than what we perceive through our 5 senses. If you are religious, you are open to other points of view. I do believe in God, by the way.
Enjoy live music, concerts, live bands in pubs, etc.
Enjoy latin music (salsa, merengue, etc.) Care to join me for a night of live salsa?
Listen to more than Top 40. Enjoy listening to progressive rock, classic rock, blues, jazz.
Have musical inclinations You sing, love to dance, play an instrument, etc. I play the guitar and am taking singing lessons, so I would love to share these with someone.
Enjoy long, stimulating conversations, over a bottle of wine maybe?
Are spontaneous. Enjoy going, in the spur of the moment, to no planned destination, just to see where we end up
Enjoy live comedy
Have a sense of humour, are not easily offended, are not afraid of being silly.
Are a kid at heart.
Enjoy amusement parks
Enjoy traveling, specially to somewhere with white sand and crystal clear water beaches.
Enjoy going to the movies many kinds of movies. You appreciate a great film, but when a film is bad you can actually laugh at it, and appreciate it for what it is, entertainment.
Don't take yourself too seriously, you can laugh at yourself
Play sports and/or enjoy watching a sporting event even if it is just every once and a while.
Are romantic. At the very least you appreciate good old fashioned romance, or romantic gestures when the time is right.
Enjoy kissing. Trust me, if we get to kiss, there will be no turning back ;-)
Are independent, but not to the extreme where you feel attentive gestures from men threaten that independence.
Are passionate, not only a passionate lover, but also passionate about your beliefs, ideas and the people you care about.
Strive to solve, not to hurt. When you have an argument with your partner, you strive to solve the problem, not say things to your partner that add no value and whose only purpose is to hurt, insult or put your partner down.
Take care of yourself. Physically and mentally.
