People say that I am:
When they talk to me, they can't believe I'm 53 years old. I'll always be that 16 year old, but with the wisdom and contentedness of a much older person. Always. People think I'm funny as hell and very, very sincere. They know how down to earth I am. I don't tolerate any sort of phoniness, and people who know me even for a short while know they can drop any sort of front they might have. I don't sugarcoat anything, yet I'm very well-behaved and adaptable to any and all situations.

Things that have bothered me:
They talk about their ex. Or they insist that their way is the only way.

I am looking for:
I'd like to be friends with a nice man who's cool, centered, creative, pleasant, polite, tactile, sensual, gentle, a good kisser and has a good sense of humor about everything. I'd like someone who listens to radio stations that are on the left-hand side of the radio dial. You know who you are. WXPN. WRTI. WPRB. I'll write more as I think of it. I wouldn't want to sound too demanding now, and scare you off, would I?

My funniest life experience:
Do you REALLY want to know this? OK. I was on my honeymoon, and for part of it, we took the train to New York City. I thought I had locked the bathroom door and I didn't. It swung open. Enough said. To me it was only mortifying for a minute. I'll think of others, trust me.

Cool Movies:
The Graduate; Shawshank Redemption; Now, Voyager; Mildred Pierce; It Came From Outer Space; Invastion of the Bodysnatchers, many others.

My Favorite Groups are:
Mostly acoustic. My current absolute favorites are Pino Forastiere, Richard Thompson, Dave Swarbrick, Jose Gonzalez, but if you're ready for this list, you're who I like to hang with. I'll start with types - and I am deeply into each kind: Acoustic, GOOD rock (like RHCP), old school reggae and ska, jazz (swing, big band, 50s bebop, melodic - no Kenny G or that crap), Celtic, Irish and English traditional, acoustic which I just said, folk, bluegrass, blues, 50s & 60s R&B, Klezmer, 70s British. If you watch the videos at the bottom, and you can identify with them in any way, we may have a real nice connection.

I am looking for a personality like:
I have a sense of humor that you'll either love or hate. If you're intelligent, believe me, you'll "get" me right away. I'm a very giving, loving, tactile and sensual person. I'm low maintenance. I'll make you feel important even if you don't think you are.
Are you willing to compromise in difficult times and situations?
I'm leaving this blank for right now.

Willingness to meet others from boM:
I'm willing. Have I ever met someone off the internet?? Funny you should ask. My ex-boyfriend was someone I met from the internet, and we were together for six years. I think that pretty much answers that! But I did meet a few before him from online.
Are you ready to start from scratch?
I have nothing to put behind me. That's basically the only comment I have about that. I start from scratch every single day. Let's put it this way: I'm like a surfcaster on the Outer Banks. I cast my line out into the water and walk away and basically go back to whatever I was doing. I'm a really busy person, and I have two jobs. I'm just saying what's going on. If there's a bite, there's a bite. But I don't have any sort of ulterior motive or plan.

My typical day:
I work two jobs and my schedule would probably crush somebody half my age. My day job is 8:15 to 4:00. I come home and try to do everything within my short window of time until I go to bed at about 7:00 PM. I get up anywhere between 2:00 and 2:30 AM for my second job. I do that until I'm done. I come home and try to grab anywhere from an hour to two hours of sleep, and then get up around 7:00 AM and start all over again. That's Monday through Friday, though. Saturday and Sunday mornings are the best, because I don't have to go to my day job during the weekends. Then I can get "stuff" done.

My Wish List Includes:
I'd like to travel much more than I have, believe me. That's my love - travel. Roadfood roadtrips through the U.S. - you cannot beat that. Regionalism is something I absolutely love!
