I enjoy playing with ideas and concepts, making jokes about what is stoic, although not so much anymore about what others think should be serious, as that upsets them. I'm always up for nearly anything that begins with the words "Let's go and." I am ADHD, which means that the more active I am, the more active I want to be: friends are the ones who tell me, politely, to stop pacing.

My funniest life experience:

It involved a case I handled at a law office. A hamburger had allegedly been tainted by a fast food employee. The complainant was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in real life. I felt concern and sympathy and shock for the complainant at first, but this was quickly juxtaposed against the profane comments of the attorneys involved (water cooler talk - got to love it), the ensuing slapstick comedy, misunderstandings, double entendres, one-liners, and topped off with a gross-out factor, ending with a deeper understanding of life and human nature. It had everything a teen gross-out comedy would have in it, so I suppose it qualifies as a comedy, at least technically, and is recognizable to the largest possible audience as having a comedic structure. Or, there are the comedy routines I thought up for the purpose of making a four year old girl laugh so hard she pooped: and that was the desired result. My daughter had a bowel blockage condition and had to spend lots of time sitting on the toilet trying to poop. It was deadly dull for her, so we spent hours reading to her and otherwise trying to entertain her. Eventually I got to goofing around with her storybooks and numbers, and made her laugh so hard she pooped. After that, I spent my spare time working on therapeutic comedy routines. Isn't comedy the ironic difference between what you want to hear and want to happen and what reality throws at you to mock you? Wouldn't you rather I had just included the second anec e rather than the first as well?

Well, it's been said we all wear many masks - parent, child, spouse, boss, employee, etc., so I would say the person who brings out the best of these in me - someone who wants - not needs - me for who I am and what I can do. Feel at ease? I think I'm at my best when there is tension to rise to the occasion and succeed. I'm a liberal, so I accept many mindsets and lifestyles, so unless you are a strict fundamentalist, I'm your guy (But if you are a fundamentalist, what are you doing here?).

I moved to Arizona because my then wife needed the support of her family and friends here. This is not my first choice of places to live.

I've gone out on a few dates with women I met on the internet. My favorite dates are those with women who tell me lots about themselves, so that I know what I'm getting into - or away from - as soon as possible. I want to give women what I expect them to give me - acceptance or rejection based on who I really am and will be.

Starting from scratch? I'm 42. Of course I would expect any woman I met to have luggage of one sort or another. It's how you deal with it that matters. Life is what happens while you're making plans. I do what I have to and want to to make a worthwhile relationship work.

My typical day:

The perfect date? You mean if money is no object? Or if the laws of physics were my plaything? Okay, you have to mean "in the real world". To tell the truth, it depends on my mood. Some days, I would say the Phoenix symphony and dinner at La Locanda in Scottsdale. Other days I would say camping and hiking in Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona with a dog and picnic lunch. But after a few days of the above I would want to stay home, cook and watch movies.

Like most people, my mind is attuned to wanting "better" for my life. I am afraid of heights, so I gravitate toward, as stated above, bungee jumping, climbing on cliffs, and an admitted fascination with skydiving. I am always up for new experiences and am looking for someone to share them with.
