when someone wants you to be their everything to the exclusion of everything else in their lives. That is not possible nor healthy, and it breeds resentment. everyone needs friends in addition to their significant other. If I can't have friends, male and female, and a significant other that trusts me to know they are only friends, a relationship won't work. I've spent years creating my circle of friends, the right man will be an addition to it, not try to take me from it.

I want to find a sincere, honest, intelligent, caring man with a good sense of humor, who keeps active, knows how to open doors for his lady, and is not a couch potato. I can see us curling up to watch a good movie, but, on the other hand, life is too short not to experience it. I'd like to find a man who can appreciate a good woman and be comfortable with one who is confident in herself, and not feel threatened by her other friends. I need someone who wants to be friends first, then see if anything evolves from there. If I were to find the man that is right for me, I am totally a "one man woman". I'd like to find someone who can complement the life I have, and would feel that I was a positive addition to his. I would like this to be someone who does not smoke at all nor drink more than occasionally, stays physically fit. and does not look more like my father than my mate. I am not looking for a movie star but the 'attraction' factor has to be there.
And,I want to find someone that when we retire, we are really retired!!
being retired does not mean stopping one job and starting another. LOL
It means having the time to do the things you want to do :)

I am a very active person who lives out in the country and loves it. I live with my pets, and I am a very active member of the local dance club, and enjoy it immensely. I like to cook and usually have a garden, I love the occasional going to the dinner theatre. dressing for the Renassiance, camping out, and cooking over the fire, spending some time out on a boat. Have never lived in a recreational vehicle but wouldn't mind trying it for a while.
