At the moment I'm looking for friendships. If they develop into something else that's fine. I'm looking for somebody intelligent, who enjoys reading, and has eclectic tastes that compliment my own. Just about everything. For the most part I don't care for rap, but I can usually find something I like within most styles of music. In general I listen to traditional/folk, alternative, and some rock with a bit of country on occasion.

I can't say that I've ever met someone off the internet before, at least not in a nonprofessional capacity I work at an ISP. I'm certainly willing to meet somebody from this service though, within reasonably geographic limits.

I'd say I'm close to starting from scratch. Thanks to a couple of major changes in my life recently I got a chance to redo some things and more social opportunities.

My Wish List Includes:

Lots of things I'd like to try, ranging from "it'd be nice" to "I must do this". In the "it would be nice" category there are things such as building a boat something small, a row/sail boat first, but eventually I'd like to build a cruising sailboat of 30' or longer.
In the "I must do this" category getting the heck out of where I am now and starting graduate school somewhere else. Hopefully in a Ph.D program. I've made the decision that I was not happy with my life and taken steps to change it. The move to grad school is the next big step.
