I am generally upbeat and optimistic about lots of things. I'm also outgoing for the most part, and have no trouble carrying on a conversation once I get it started.

Aside from my other many duties, I am also a musician. I play a number of instruments by ear, so I like to learn new songs. Among my favorite artists: Jimmy Buffett, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, The Band, Dylan, and John Prine. I like most classic rock (pre- that isn't already worn out on FM), and really enjoy the entire "Buttrock" genre (i.e. hair band stuff from about '82 until '89).

I enjoy when women are honest and act naturally. When they act naturally, I act naturally, and it brings out the real me. In other words, I like to feel as though I don't have to put up a front, and honestly I don't expect them to do so either.

Yes, I can compromise. I can see things logically and objectively. I am too tired to think of a compromising experience, but if it is that important to you I will come up with one if you ask me sometime.

I would like to try sailing, God forbid if I could ever see myself retiring to Florida someday. I would also like to travel to Europe someday, at least when the Euro isn't kicking the dollar's ass. I want to own a home, but I've refrained because I never settled down with my true soul mate, and I never thought I needed so much room. When I signed up for Bookofmatches, I never realized I was going to have to put so much thought into essay questions, so I will admit I am unprepared for this and will come back another time to finish.
