Once had a dinner date that was so awful I had to 'make a run for it' and tried to slip out the side door - then it locked behind me. I was lost in a dark, empty building! Really, this person was so full of himself, so incredibly rude to the wait staff, and just so generally obnoxious that I thought it must be a prank. When it was clear it was not a joke, I had to take action. I escaped unharmed. Haha.

For the sake of spending the holidays with my then boyfriend and his wonderful kids: We traveled abroad and stayed with my boyfriend's ex-wife and her husband. We slept on a fifteen year old, broken pull out sofabed in a room with only uncovered glass French doors for privacy. It was the worst sleep I never got! We were there for about nine days. It was tempting to ask him to check into a hotel, but the kids were so happy to see their father every morning.
