My personality is very outgoing and friendly. I have my bashful moments, but not too many. I wouldn't be thought of as the 'life of the party' or 'class clown', but I do have a very good sense of humor and I can many times come up with some cleaver come-backs to everyday questions and goofy remarks.
I am totally turned off by vulgar remarks and profanity. My opinion of someone who needs a mouthful of 4-letter words to complete a simple sentence is they have a very limited vocabulary and should give strong consideration to enrolling in an evening English class to improve it. If spoken to this way, I will tell the speaker I don't appreciate it and if it happens again, the conversation is over.
I consider myself very much a romantic and seek a man of like thought. I love to spoil my special guy in some really incredible ways - both in public and private. I attempt to maintain a bit of mystique about me, just enough to catch him off guard now and then in a nice way. He'll never have a doubt in his mind, however, just how special he is to me.

My taste in movies is generally light and funny. I watch movies to be entertained and uplifted. I'm definitely a fan of 'chick-flicks'. "While You Were Sleeping" is an all time favorite, along with "Affair to Remember", "Sleepless in Seattle" and "First Wives Club". Musicals such as "Singing in the Rain" and "Oklahoma" are high on my list. Holiday movies such as "A Boyfriend for Christmas" and "Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus, as well as soft romance such as "Love Comes Softly" appear on the list as well. The little girl in me has a large collection of Disney movies - both animated and comedy. My taste in Sci-Fi is very small, but I do like "Men in Black". Horror, occult and violence don't appear on the list anywhere.

Compromise is a way of life. An example of a compromise on my part was when I married my husband. Both my parents and my mother's folks married in October and have had long marriages. My parents celebrated 62 yrs 10/07. My grandfather died months short of my gps' 60th anniversary. I always held a deep desire to be married in October as well - both because of my family history and because October is my favorite month of the year. Unfortunately, my fiance was determined the wedding had to be in December and would not budge from it. I had to choose between marrying him in December or finding someone else for an October wedding. I married him in December. Given the fact I am now divorced; maybe I should have looked for someone else for October instead. Oh well - live and learn!

I placed a profile on this website because I am interested in meeting people from here. I'm seriously looking for someone, but I'm game for having a little fun in the process. I have met a number of guys off the internet - some really great ones and some real jerks. However, I've done the same thing at work, church, the mall and anywhere else people cross paths with others they don't know.
