My typical day:

Once I had a date that was pretty close to perfect. My date invited me over for a home cooked dinner. When I arrived, the front door was open and through the glass storm door I could see the entire living room and dining room lit by hundreds of candles. I entered to the sounds of Luther Vandross filling the house. The dining room table was set like a restaurant with the napkins folded into shapes, beautiful china, crystal glasses, all the utensils from dinner fork to shrimp fork and every spoon and knife used for formal dining. A linen lined silver bread basket full of warm, freshly baked rolls sat beside a silver butter dish with a long, unmarred stick of butter. Three red roses and three pink roses sprung from a crystal vase. Taper candles in silver and crystal candle holders lined up and down the center of the table formed the rest of the centerpiece. The odor of a perfectly seasoned roast floated from the kitchen. My date appeared in the kitchen door, reached forward to hold my face close, and kissed me. Then he pulled out my chair, seating me across the table from his plate, and disappered back into the kitchen. He shortly returning carrying a silver platter holding a gorgeously brown roast surrounded by juicy vegetables and garnished with a few sprigs of parsley. I don't remember much about the rest of the evening, but I do remember waking up the next morning wondering if I'd dreamed up a fairy tale.
