Good and bad my life has been blessed with so many rich experiences. Upon graduating from college, with my degree in education, I had to the privilege of traveling abroad to teach school in some very, very difficult countries. That time altered my view of myself and transformed my way of thinking. Those experiences certainly gave me a greater love for my country. We are so blessed and many times we don’t get it. That by Divine Providence I was born in such a fabulous country of privilege, when I could have been born in a country of lesser circumstance. I can go to China and never be a Chinaman! (man: neuter gender, meaning both sexes. I don’t subscribe to political correctness. lol) I could go to France and never be a Frenchman! I could go Africa and never be an African! Yet, they can all come here and be Americans! (legally of course) These experiences have directed me to become involved in the political arena. In spite of the imperfections in some of our local and national leaders we have the opportunity/duty to participate and take hold of the reigns of our Democracy. It’s an honor that no words can describe in the English vernacular (although it should be the national language). I have worked for a U.S. Senator from Kentucky, was a Field Rep. Bush/Cheney and several other local campaigns in St. Petersburg Florida in 04’. Then to West Virginia in 06’ to work on a U.S. Senate campaign as a Statewide Field Director and a State Attorney General race. Also, I worked as a Field Director for a Virginia State Senate and Congressional in 07’. Just moved to the DC area and love the vibe that I feel everyday. There is something about the Nations Capitol and all that goes with it. Although the traffic leaves little to be desired I have learned to take the good with the bad. I come from a great family. My mother is one of the most highly esteemed ladies in my life (I have never eaten a boxed cake). My siblings consist of two sisters and a brother, all of which are married with children. It’s good to be able to say, with confidence, I have the best parents. When we get together it makes for a very interesting time, especially during the holidays. I am a great Uncle and love to spend time with my nephews and nieces when I see them. There is a love for cooking and baking and in my own right I am a master. Although I do not cook for myself, but many times I have invited my friends to expose them to the finest. I am serious, focused, and goal oriented, but know how and when to be laid back, along with some goofballishness (is that a word) involved. I would love to meet President George W. Bush and his administration:Cheney, Tony Snow, Condoleezza Rice etc. I honor and respect their service to our country. Although I may not always agree with every decision made, they are informed far greater than myself. Some would doubt their ability, but one does not reach that level of authority when you lack intelligence and wisdom. Also, the Founding Fathers, because under great duress and threatening of life they gathered to form a nation in spite of opposition of crown and local citizenry. Leadership, at its finest, is brought about when a man finds himself opposed by the masses and leads the few into righteousness. Love to ski and take weekend trips. Planning trips abroad are exciting because you plan, save, and pay. Then when you arrive and experience all of the built up anticipation makes it worth while. Black tie events (humbly stated: I look dashing in a tux). Political events and campaigning allows me to meet people that I otherwise wouldn't in my own little world. It gives me a better understanding of what their struggles and successes are. There is so much more to tell!
