Any new relationship is from a new beginning. As a relationship develops a certain level of melting and blending occurs. One simply doesn't abandon themselves but incorporates self into a new state of being.
Everyone carries baggage with them. Though they may be free emotionally, the effects of other things and people carry on for a life time. Especially someone you have had children with.
Once again, either a couple decides to completely revamp there lives or meld there current ones into a new beginning. Each combination of people can have a different effect on the outcome.
