Most of my friends tell me that I am a lot of fun to know, and that I care a lot. They enjoy my sense of humor and my sincerity. They know I can be counted on when needed and that I am a true friend.

I don't like smoke blown in my face, or anger misdirected at me. I don't like foul language or pressure to do things I don't want to do, and I really don't want to do things out of guilt or because I feel sorry for someone. I don't call it "going out to dinner" when we go to Costco for a slice of pizza.

My partner has to have a sense of humor and be reliable. He should be honest and know how to listen with understanding. When we have a difference of opinion he should be able to accept that and not try to change my mind - as I will not try to change his. He should be willing to introduce me to the activities he enjoys doing that I may not have tried before. Yes, I want to get to know who he truly is, not some hyped-up version of what he thinks I'm looking for.

My funniest life experience:

When I was 12 my family went on vacation to an Indian reservation with a lake and a horse ranch. My older sister was dating one of the residents and I was the typical bratty little kid. After I insisted that I wouldn't leave them alone, he let me ride the very spirited horse he had brought to our campsite. "Wild Jack" took-off at a dead run, then reared-up to get me off his back. I didn't budge. He tried to brush me off against a fence. I lifted my legs up and stayed on. As a last resort he ran full-tilt towards a tree with a low-hanging branch. I didn't see it until we were there, so I laid straight back on the horse. When Wild Jack got out from under that tree he started prancing around, proud as can be - until he turmed his head and saw that I was still in the saddle. The fire went out of his eyes, and he slowly plodded along back to our campsite. My Mom screamed when she saw me all bloody from my waist up to my chin, and it hurt like heck for about a week. But I was so pleased with myself, though they say the horse was never the same!

My all-time favorite has always been "Spartacus". Running a close second is Disney's "The Three Musketeers" with Charlie Sheen and Keifer Sutherland. Of course I like all the "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" movies, as well as all the "Pirates of the Caribbean". I don't really like Freddie Kruger or Michael Myers, but watching those with the right person makes them bearable.

When I am with someone who has a good sense of humor I am able to best be myself. A smile goes a long way. I want to hear about who you are, and to tell you who I am. I listen with an open mind (and heart) and don't pre-judge. I care about myself, which allows me to care about other people in return. I smile a lot, and I'm not afraid to be honest.

I am ready and willing to meet somebody from this service. I've never yet met someone this way, and maybe this will work out. Yes, I'm a bit nervous about it, but I've decided that all tools should be given a fair chance to see if they do the job as promised.

My typical day:

My perfect date would start with meeting the gentleman the first time at our chosen date location, for instance, at a restaurant called "Tyler's of Texas" here in El Cajon. He would present me with a single rose, preferably a "Sterling Silver" (a purple rose, my favorite). We would share stories about our lives over a pleasant dinner, then, if the mood is right we would stay a little longer and share coffee and more conversation. The first date would end with a goodbye at my car, a kiss if it feels right, and looking forward to more to come.
