Happy, generally easy going though vocal regarding things such as politics and social ills. One who is able to put wit on most situations though often sarcastically. I am a person most come to when a question arises for if I don't have the answer I know how to utilize available resources to find the answer. In fact, I love those challenges because I view life as an ongoing education and a person can never know too much!!! The human mind is an incredible thing isn't it?

Obviously, I enjoy people with similar traits as mine though I see no problem when 2 can discuss issues they may not necessarily agree upon. Because I am very liberal and respect the thinking of others as much as is agreeable to my conscience someone extremely conservative and right-winged probably wouldn't care to be in my company long nor vice versa. I love outdoor activities as mentioned above so someone would have to be willing to share some of the things I enjoy, though the door swings both directions. Also, I love to cuddle and kiss so if you aren't receptive to such attention we could have problems. A hug a day keeps the ills away!

There are far too many to even begin to list here. Some I would rather tell after knowing someone for I suppose they could be perceived the wrong way. I have simply had a kazillion laughs in my life and continue to!

Whew! This is another tough one. Let's see; where to begin? Chronologically as best I can I suppose. Dracula (original with Bela Lugosi though I really enjoyed the remake), Gone With The Wind, any Marx Brothers or Laurel and Hardy, The Wizard of Oz, The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, Lifeboat, Rebecca, Rope (obviously anything directed by Alfred Hitch ), Bambi (pretty much anything Disney), Cool Hand Luke, Lolita, West Side Story, Planet of the Apes, Easy Rider, The Exorcist, Deliverance, Young Frankenstein (any Mel Brooks; some of the rare comedies I like), The Man Who Would Be King, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Network, Star Wars. it is simply endless and I haven't even made it to the 80's yet!!! As you can most likely detect I like drama, historical, etc. while comedies, unless satirical, are my least favorites.

As a musician I appreciate most, but that doesn't mean I enjoy all!!! I don't care much for country and especially the twangy male singers. Besides, today's so-called "country" is no more than basic rock n roll with a drawl!!! And rap is questionable as to whether it is music or not. I accept anything that moves a person, though too many rap lyrics are offensive and degrading. Then, of course, you have the likes of Marilyn Manson!?!?! The Beatles will always remain one of my favs and almost all the music of that era I enjoy. There are many contemporary bands I like very much and Rob Thomas is outstanding.

I have always been a relatively open minded and liberal individual so those of similar qualities have always contributed to me being myself. My paternal grandmother in many ways was this type person as were both my parents. We didn't always see eye to eye yet they usually supported anything my sister or myself chose to do or think.

Yes, I certainly would and have compromised in numerous ways in the past. Any one situation of any particular significance does not come to mind immediately. We all deal with this in some way on a daily basis I believe though the degree may appear minor. Take for instance choosing a restaurant. Not of any magnitude though certainly a decision at the time.

Though I find myself at times skeptical to some degree regarding the desired results from searching online, I believe it is possible to stumble upon the right match. It is important both parties share in their desire to find someone and if things click it is wonderful. In my case I have not had the best of luck though I contribute a lot of that to my age, location, and tastes I suppose. I have met people in the past and shared some great experiences, but factors such as distance eventually took its toll. And because I am active I unfortunately find ladies near my age more often than not either have no desire or ability to do the things I enjoy thus leaving me often pursuing younger women yet that is more often than not less than fruitful. Aging is an amazing process. The nearer you are the top less importance seems placed upon disparity in age though in the earlier stages we see things much differently so a number becomes more an issue rather than what makes up the individual! I am not saying I wouldn't love encountering a lady my age who is able to discredit this line of thinking and I have indeed met some online. Unfortunately, they are usually hundreds if not thousands of miles away. Say what they will, but the long distance thing is almost entirely unsurmountable unless one has an endless bank account I suppose.

As a romantic I find one of the most tremendous experiences is looking at each other and suddenly finding yourself breathless!! But, also a realist, I know chances of winning the lottery are better. It does happen, but more often than not one sided, unfortunately. So, the start of a "perfect date" would be wonderful under those circumstances as it would not matter what you did; it would simply be "perfect"!!!! All that aside, I enjoy outdoor activities the most which could include an amusement/water park, canoeing, walking in the woods, frisbee, horseshoes, volleyball, the beach, etc. That's not to say I am not willing to accept anything else. Above all, if we are both pleased with the outcome what else matters? I'm easy to get along with! I don't know that this entry describes a "typical day", but the question asks, "What would be your perfect date experience?"

I have done so much from skydiving to snorkeling in Hawaii I can't really think of anything in particular though certainly there are some. Now, I've never whitewater rafted so that might be one and I really would love going down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon but as the waiting list is something like a decade I doubt it will ever happen! I wouldn't mind packing the Canyon either, but would be happy just to go there again sometime. But there are hundreds of places I'd like to revisit. As I love history there are a great number of places I would like to see that I never have though I believe the one that usually comes to the forefront is Machu Picchu. I would want to see it either alone or with only one or a few close to me; again something highly unlikely. Bottom line is we all have dreams, but it is most important to appreciate that which you already have.
