I'm looking for a man who is reasonably attractive, tall, hairy, creative, has a strong sense of the absurd, and is very intelligent (I'm way too old to suffer fools gladly). Strong, yet sensitive - sort of a cross between Grizzly Adams and Tom Hanks. He must actually like children and animals, not just tolerate them. Ideally, he will enjoy giving foot rubs, shooting pool, reading, going out, staying in, and playing frisbee in the park with a large slobbery dog (the Lab, not the Bassett - she's in a coma most of the time) And: I'm creative, artistic, attractive, smart as a whip, and a little wacky, but well grounded in reality. I'm an interesting combination of cyncism and romanticism, and would love to believe in the concept of a 'soulmate', but figure if I have one, he probably lives in Bulgaria or some other equally obscure place that I'll never visit. I would like to find that one special person to grow old with and have lots and lots of fun along the way. Isn't that what we're all looking for? Maybe you're out there in cyber-space just waiting for the right ad to come along.

That's a tough one. Looking back on it, super-gluing my eye shut was probably one of the funniest things, although it wasn't a bit amusing at the time. I thought my eyelashes would never grow back.

Looking at purple calms me. So does the smell of a newborn puppy. I'd wear perfume if someone would bottle that puppy scent and sell it. I like animals more than I do most people. Animals truly know the meaning of unconditional love. I've always been a champion of the underdog, and have been involved with animal rescue and teaching handicapped children as long as I can remember.
I enjoy reading books, Tolkein, shooting pool, working crossword puzzles, watching Michael Moore movies and That 70s Show, trying to teach my dogs to do tricks, listening to music, laughing with my kids, eating just about anything I don't have to cook, taking ridiculously hot bubble bath, and helping people.
I work with babies and children, and while my job is very fulfilling, at the end of the day I long for intelligent adult conversation.

I've never really been into the bar scene, although I do love to shoot pool and that involves going to bars. I like the idea of meeting someone online because you have the chance to get to know them on some level before making the decision of whether to meet or not.
