I traded 10 years of Suits, Wine and Corporate BS for 10 years of Shorts, Micro Brew and Self Employment. (Since I left Corporate life 10 years ago I now only wear suits to weddings and funerals.) I miss nothing about my former life, except the wine and the friends I made.
I'm still as active and athletic as I was in High School, I kayak 2-3 times a week and walk my dogs about a mile a day, I'm no tri-athlete but I can still swim a few laps, run (or walk) a couple of miles, and bike all day (at the beach). And I smell good.
I renovate houses for a living, I buy, design and sell them. The thrill for me is finding a house with a lot of potential and making it shine. I've been doing it for 10 years and would do it for a hobby if I didn't do it for a career. I split my time between Coeur d'Alene, Id and Orange County in So-Cal.
I'd rather get to know someone by talking on the phone rather than having a long PM or IM relationship (Im not a fast typer and don't want to learn to be one).
