My friends describe me as outgoing, fun, and as having a tremendous sense of humor. Most people who know me would say that I'm kind, thoughtful and well-adjusted. My Mom says "I'm the pick of the litter!" I'm also a southern belle from TN, but have adjusted to being a Californian for the most part. I still don't understand the consumption of sprouts and artichoke hearts as food, and I think you should be able to order biscuits and gravy at the drive through restaurants!

The false pretense under which some men have presented themselves, especially the married men, and those in "committed" relationships. I also resent those who try to pass off pictures of themselves 15 years ago as current! I'm a WIZYWIG (What You See Is What You Get) and I'm about as honest as one can be; shucks, I don't even lie about my age! Most importantly, if you're not emotionally available and able to give fully of yourselfspecifically, your heartthen you aren't the man for me.

Honesty/Integrity, a grand sense of humor, affection, kindness, thoughtfulness, spontaneity, a sense of adventure and respectfulness ate all very important qualities to me. I love children, have a couple of my own who live at home, so you must love children too, cause I'm keeping them! A man who's a good cook sure wouldn't hurt!

There's just been so many, it's hard to pick one. I received a response once from a potential suitor on another online dating site and hadn't posted a picture yet. Upon receiving a nice little note from a man expressing interest in me, I wrote back to express my appreciation for his interest and requested a picture of him: I said, "I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours." Well, I received a response with a picture and turned out, he was really good looking.but he was my cousin! No wonder we had so much in common. That was so embarassing, I never told him who I was; since I was speechless (very rare for me), I just didn't respond!

Just saw "Failure to Launch" yesterday and LOVED it! One all-time favorite is Pretty Woman; also love Speed, The Shawshank Redemption, It's a Wonderful Life, Magnificent Obsession (that's an oldie with Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson), Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc (love the Pixar movies), there are just way too many to mention.

I'm non-judgmental and easy-going, and find that these traits really help create a positive relationship. I don't pair well with a controlling personality. I'm a big girl now and don't need a man to push or order me around. In my opinion, mutual respect is the single most important characteristic of a great relationship. That's what my parents say and they just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on January 5th!

I'm always willing to compromise, and hope that my partner is too. I'm more of a giver and generally tend to do whatever makes others happy, whether it's my special someone, my kids, family, or friends. That's just the way I am.

I've met several men through internet dating and the experience has been, overall, positive. But I get really angry when the person I meet face-to-face is about 15 years older than his picture! Are you ready to start from scratch?

I'm starting from scratch and excited about the possibility of finding the man who will give me my last first kiss. All the experiences I had, good and bad, have made me who I am, and I'm okay with where I am now. I can certainly remain single and be content and happy, especially if the alternative is being in a miserable relationship. My preference by far, however, is to share life's journey with a very special man in a very loving, warm, mutually respectful relationship.

Every day is a gift (considering the alternative), so I wake up expecting great things out of each day, and appreciating all the little things, the tiny miracles, of each new day. Typically, I get up, get my kids off to school, go to work at a job I love with an architectural firm, come home happy to reunite with my kids, do dinner, chores, then relax for a couple hours and prepare to get up and do it all over again! On weekends, I'm always looking for fun, exciting things to do. The good thing about having kids is I always have someone to do things with! We go to events at Arco, such as Monster Truck Jam, Arenacross, Kings games, or I take them to the movies, and I take them out to a nice dinner every weekend.

I love weekend trips to the coast or mountains, but haven't had the opportunity to do that for a while. I've never been to Yosemite, and would love to go there. My fondest wish is to go to Hawaii.
