Randy Marvin Richardson Dreams As I sleep in restless slumber I listen to my heart I realize that sometimes in life loved ones do depart We sleep and never really see the ones placed before us Then it's to late and they are gone, love once again ignores us Deep in dreams we see our life the way we would want it We wake and see the life we have, but never really wanted Dreams of love not lost but love without the cares of life Dreams of happy endings no stress and toils of life How can we wake to see the world the way we do in dreams A world of love and happiness, impossible it seems Is this a dream or is this real these feelings in my heart The life I have is not my own why did my love depart So I sleep in my dream world my life is full of meaning But I awake and find instead the world is so demeaning Give me dreams and peaceful sleep for I shall not awake But lose myself in this dream in life I shall partake Randy Marvin Richardson
