Narrow or closed mindedness, negative thinking,jeaulosy, and pettiness all turn me off, whether it be in a man or woman, friend or lover. I wake up in a great mood almost everyday and try my best to imminate that in my daily life. I don't have time for people with alot of baggage that they seem unable to deal with life is WAY TO SHORT!

Cool Movies:

I love the movies and will watch just about anything! But I really enjoy two kinds of movies: 1) Horror movies, all the way from suspenceful and mysterious to gross, gorey, ridiculous b-movie slasher movies. Some are wonderfully scarey while others are ridiculously hilarious! From The Grudge to Attack of the Killer Pinata. 2)The other types of movies are Independent Films, the wierder the better! I'm really not a sicko, well maybe a little HAI just like strange movies :) Like Blue Velvet, Sin City, Crash(w/ James Sapder.:)

I pride my self in being very eclectic when it comes to music.I grew up in the 50's and 60's and of course love everything from those eras. I listen to rock and roll and then when rap came out I found myself enjoying some of it! My lastest musical hero is Gnarls Barkley. Awesome with my theme song of "Crazy". I also love Brazilian, spanish guitar and country and western. Let's dance!

I try to surround myself with people who are self-confident, free-spirited and fun loving. These qualities have guided me through my own life and I am attracted to the same kinds of people. I am at ease in almost any situation and appreciate people who have lived a full life with all of it's beautiful ups and not-so-beautiful downs. One of my most important qualities (and one I look for in others) is a joy and appreciation of life and people. There are special and unique qualites in every person. I'm open to developing both new relationships and my self.I do not feel that we put people or things "behind us". Instead, all of our past belongs in a special place, to relish for the pleasure it brought or feel relief that you survived it! I plan on going foward.

My "new life" is a big change from just a few months ago. My husband passed away in the spring, after a long illness. Then in May I retired from a career in education. So my summer and fall has been filled with alot of exciting and fun events and also times of reflection and sentimentallity. I have traveled alot and now have settled into a nice routine of working around my place and enjoying each day with old friends, family and new friends:). I have 2 dogs and a couple of cats and fish for my animal world. Living in the country gives me plenty of time for quiet times and times to feel free and be glad I am alive.

I hope to continue traveling and seeing many wonderful places in the world.I love to drive and just strike out on adventures when the spirit moves me. I still would like to see the Giant Redwood Forest and maybe a whale or two! I am game to try almost anything and though I have not done any "extreme sports" I would like to get into more outdoor activities. Of course just getting into the world of making friends online could be an adventure itself! Let's hope so.
