Wow ~ when you reach my age, there are too many funny life experiences to describe in this small section. But rest assured, those funny experiences have helped to make me the person that I am today.

I'm a real "sap" for romantic comedys. Some of my favorites are "Sleepless in Seattle" (and of course, "An Affair To Remember"), "A League of Their Own", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Must Love Dogs" and on and on.

My taste in music is pretty varied. You'll find everything in my collection from Bach to Buffett. Well, not so much Bach and definitely to head banging stuff but still a wide variety of tastes. I love the old groups like Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys, etc. Gosh, I guess that's pretty age revealing, isn't it?

I think one of the most important traits in another person (and myself) is honesty. And a sense of humor is definitely an asset and a "must have" in my book. I possess both of these traits and am looking for someone who does as well.

Are you willing to compromise in difficult times and situations?

Yes, I pride myself in being able to compromise. I think that's what makes the world go 'round. If you are so set in your thinking as to never be able to compromise, then you are in for a very difficult life. I spent much of my career in situations that involved a great deal of compromise. The only thing I won't compromise are my ethics.

I'm very willing to meet people and hopefully they will be fun people. I would not be wasting my time if I did not hope for a positive outcome. Although I am registered with other sites, I've not had much success. But being the "eternal optimist" ~ I'm hoping for good things to happen here.

In the beginning, my perfect date experience would involve spending time getting to know an individual. I have such a varied interest span, this could involve a number of scenarios. But initally I think the best place would be somewhere quiet where we could talk.

I guess you could say that I'm most afraid of putting myself out there. Although I am an extroverted personality, sometimes it's difficult for me to walk into a strange situation. I definitely don't do well with the "bar scene" or singles parties.
