Update: One thing that needs to be included here is that any prospective romantic partner for me would have to be lacto-vegetarian or vegan, and have compassion for all creatures and the well-being of our planet. I'm not just talking about good intentions here either, but rather actually walking the walk. Finding that there are only precious few who choose to live this way tells me the general public has a selfish/destructive nature (science concludes that within 50 years or so, people who continue eating meat and dairy products will likely lose their ability to reproduce, or even fend off pathogenic disease). Anyhow, I have come to the understanding that it would not be possible for me to truly respect, honor and love my partner if she were to follow in the footsteps of the naive/self destructive majority in this regard, and so I choose not to go on an escapade of having sexual relations with my flesh eating friends. Still interested? Read on. I truly beleive it is who you are on the inside that really counts.
Update 2: As of March '06, I vowed not to drive my car anymore until at least the end of the summer, or maybe even for an entire year. Over a year into it I have no regrets - life has been fantastic, so much so that I've decided to get rid of my car!
Personal qualities: mild mannered, patient, loving, not into pain (except for maybe the occasional light patting on the rear when asked -jk), intelligent, slow to anger, and helpful. I place a high value on friendship, integrity/honesty, and people who can think outside the box.
In a society which seems to reward only perfection, I beg to differ. My motto is that you don't love a woman because she is beautiful (and make no mistake - she IS beautiful), but rather a woman's beauty is illuminated 'on the wide screen' because you love her.
