It is not her lack of wrinkles that is important - it is the strength in her arms that will encircle and hold me. It is not the feminine high pitched type of voice that is important, it is the gentle words she whispers to me. It is not the size of her chest that is important, it is the size of the heart that lies within. I am hoping to find a best friend, partner and lover with whom to start a conversation that will last the rest of our lives.

My funniest life experience:

For the last 18 years, before retiring recently, I have been working between 70 and 80 hours per week. That schedule hasn't lent itself to a lot of frivolity or hilarity. I expect that the next (and undoubtably my last) 18 years will be much more jovial, enjoyable, amusing and pleasurable.

People who demonstrate caring and compassion will always be in demand and appreciated as a friend. I've been lucky to have often found that kind of person. And, it seems, the more caring and compassionate THEY are, the more I try to return that level of attention and concern.

A relationship is ALL ABOUT compromise. If one isn't willing to repeatedly demonstrate a commitment to pleasing the other person, well, maybe that lack of commitment says something about the relationship. I can't remember when I compromised without wanting to - I WANT to. It seems that the more often I compromise, the more often my partner also feels comfortable compromising. The willingness on the part of her man to compromise, is one of those little things that causes a women to confide in her friends,"I am a lucky woman".

I've just renewed my passport and am looking forward to making several trips to Mexico. This year, I will also be visiting some National Parks in the western states as well as Sonoma, AZ, Washington, DC, Lake Tahoe, NV, and Louisville, KY. And now that I'm retired, I'll be able to visit NYC more often for fine dining, art museums and theater. Other than that, I intend to do some consulting in my former field, but that is about the extent of my plans for the future.
