I'm friendly, funny and a teaser/prankster with a great sense of humor. People who know me say I have a good heart and am compssionate and respectful and a good loyal friend. Who ? My dogs also love me. LOL

Superficial people are a turn off. When I am somebody's friend I intend to be for a lifetime not just until you find somebody else or until you tire of writing or calling etc. I have made a few friends online and still communicatre with them after several years. These I call true and devoted friends. We accept each other for who we are with respect and can talk about anything and not be judged.
What bothers me about dating is it can be so superficial. I don't even like dating in the traditional sense. I prefer to do something together that one would do anyway. Like eating at my favorite Chinese buffet or going to the store or walking in the park exercising and/or talking. Even popcorn or pizza at home watching a movie and of course wathing NFL or MU Tigers football and grilling out. Those are my ideas of fun and unstressful dates. You really can't get to know someone on a date. Both are usually putting their best foot forward trying to impress each other or one is trying to get in the others pants. lol Relaxing dates are more fun than stressful dates with drama

Honesty, respect, communicative and open mindedness are top priorities. If the foundation is weak the building crumbles. lol A partner should honestly like and respect herself and others, including me. If She's well groomed, attractive, and clean I might kiss her. lol Other adjatives that describe what I admire in a friend, date, partner are loyalty, sensitive, independence, self esteem, sensuality, friendliness/kindness, loving, intelligence and sense of purpose.

I have so many I couldn't list them all here. Notice that I like all types. Even a few chick flicks. lol As long as they have a good plot and some reality. Action/adventure is preferred but a good drama is enjoyed too.

My Favorite Groups are:

Almost all except rap, hip hop and opera. Favorite is classic rock from doo wop 50's & rock a billy to 80's album rock. All time favorite group is Beatles, of course because they were/are the best. Electric Light Orchestra and Queen made good music and so did many others. I like most of the girl groups of the 60's to 80's. I like country and some contemporary gospel too. From ABBA to ZZ TOP Now that's diverse! lol

I admire and desire people who are open, honest, positive outgoing and people oriented like myself. They bring out the best in me and I usually bring out the best in them. I'm a communicator so short curt emails usually bring misunderstanding. If a person likes and respects themselves then I will like and respect them too. If I have to guard what I say, walking on eggshells, not being myself then I am uncomfortable and won't stick around long. My qualities, I'm told is that I can draw people out allowing them to be themselves and comfortable and relaxed. I have a saying that has served me well if people do it. Think of me as a very good friend you haven't seen in a long time and we're catching up on our lives. lol It usually works. I've helped draw some shy people out of their shells and become comfortble being themselves.

Of course. All good relationships are about compromise. However, I won't compromise on my values and beliefs.
Once a lady and I wanted to meet each other. We lived about 5 hours apart so we compromised and met in a town about halfway between us. She wanted to get married, I didn't so we compromised and became friends and still are. lol Okay, the last part is a joke but she did want to become more serious than I.

I've met many people from the internet. Some are still good friends and some have wandered into the sunset with someone else or alone because they got lost. lol Why would anyone be on here if they didn't want to meet? Go figure! lol

Are you ready to start from scratch?

If a real woman comes along and knocks my socks off there is no telling what I'd do. lol But for the time being, realistically, I just can't pick up and start over someplace new. I have a small farm I love in the country and a career/business I enjoy. I would like the company of someone new and special. Let's face it. I'm a romantic guy at heart and chances are I want what you want too. That's the excitement and fun of meeting someone because they just may be the ONE for you but unless and until you meet you we'll never know for sure. On the other hand I'm not into a constant stream of superficial meetings. It's really a balancing act when you lack time and resources.

Seeking friends but I enjoy a date once in a while. A god date for me is doing something spontaneously that is fun and simple just to be with that someone I want to be with. Sometimes a connection is made without saying a word and we both know and respond to each other in a positive way. Whetherr it's a kiss or holding hands or tickling each other. lol It's being uninhibited and comfortable with each other where ever we are and wehatever we do.

I fear heights so no bungy jumping or skydiving for me though I admit it looks fun because of the freedom etc. But, ironically, I would like to try a hot air baloon ride sometime. Go figure! I'm in the process of remodeling my house and building on a new office for my business. I wish it were finished and I had the money to complete it. lol Another wish is that someday I'd love to go back and visit Switzerland again. I loved those mountains and lakes in the summertime. I'd also like to visit Australia and Brazil. Heck, while I'm wishing I would like to have the time and money to visit all 50 states. I've only been to about half. lol
