Friends and relatives have all commented that I'm hard to read and hard to get to know. I'm friendy, thoughtful, and easy to talk to, but much of who I am and what I am is reserved for those close to me. I can be aloof. I am always me and always thinking.

I find honesty a good start with any friendship. When someone contradicts themselves, it's difficult to take them seriously. I also think people need to lighten-up and just be really who they are. You can't be anyone better than you can be you at your best.

My funniest life experience:

At the tender age of 17, I went to a party with a good friend. I had never met the people giving the party and this was a big party with lots of people. A girl, who I had never met approached me and soon led me into a bedroom where she became very romantic, if you know what I mean. And just as we had both disrobed and were in bed, the door flew open and there stood her boyfriend wanting to know what the heck was going on!!! About 6 other people stuck their heads into the room and watched in disbelief, as I quickly dressed (Including my best friend who had brought me to the party). The girl lived there and was giving the party. I was in her boyfriend's bed with his girlfriend as it turned out. The shocked look on everyone's face is etched in my memory forever. I left the party early!!! I was innocent of the whole matter - and never saw her again!
