Actually it was an email I sent today. I was trying to convey a point where I needed information from the person I was writing to and in typing too fast, I misspelled the word: today. So it went like this"so I think you better let me know toady!

When music went from rock and roll to hard rock, I went country. I love Doo Wop, still listen to country, but you know, it's funny; even with the heavy metal groups, there's always one slow, soft song that's not too hard on the ears. Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Gun's N Roses, they've all done something I'll listen to, once in awhile.

It's always easier being yourself when you are with someone you have known for awhile. I don't know that a stranger, under any circumstance, is able to put one at ease immediately. I think that when we are secure in who we are and comfortable in our own skin, that helps. In addition, the older we get, the less intimidated we are. So if I say the wrong thing right out of the starting gate, well let's just call it "full blown sometimers". Next topic please.

To compromise without wanting to sounds like the other party didn't meet half way. Life is a compromise. No one gets everything they want. But in a relationship, when each knows the likes and dislikes of their significant other, most situations are shared without resentment. Sports???? I do not want to watch you watch football.I'll go shopping. LOL

I've met men from the internet, one as far away as San Francisco that went on for 2-1/2 years. Just didn't work, oh well. I try to be very careful, I'm not in any hurry, and safety is my first concern.

I am single, single, single, no one in my life now or in the recent past. And best of all, no emotional baggage that I need to get over. But I will say, I'm not needy either, I don't need to jump into the first possible situation that comes along. And I expect alot like you have your own transportation, your own living quarters, your own bank account with your own money in it, your own teeth (originals or bought and paid for). Are you laughing yet??? If not, which of those things I mentioned don't you have?

My perfect day would be everyday if I could just retire early. Until then, the next best thing would be lunch with a good friend, maybe an afternoon matinee, a quick freshening up and dinner with that special someone at an out-of-the-way cafe with good wine and candle light.

For the future, I guess we're back to wanting to retire. But, in my retirement, I truly look forward to doing some type of volunteer work. I would look into the local nursing homes, hospitals or my church. There's always a shortage of "do gooders" and I enjoy bringing a smile to those less fortunate.
