People say that I am:
Usually pretty laid back, but when something needs to get done I'm always the one who ends up doing it. I'm a psych major and that's pretty obvious - I tend to notice, point out, and question all sorts of little things. (I know that can be a bad habit, but I really can't stop myself.) I tend to be pretty outgoing, and I volunteer a lot of my time, but again I can't really help myself - I like people, dealing with them, and helping them, and that pretty much runs how I operate.
Things that have bothered me:
"Things that have bothered me about people I've known in the past?" That's a ton of stuff I couldn't even begin to scratch the surface of. My biggest pet peeve is people who spend more energy making sure everyone knows that they're (whatever) than they do actually living up to it, more on the showoff side than the hypocracy side, but people can do lots of things to drive me batty. I don't really have as many pet peeves about dating, though. Getting to know what someone is like before dating them is a horrible way to get dates, but when it does work it bypasses truckloads of drama.
I am looking for:
I have a small list of traits that all my best friends/dates shared. I've never shared it with anybody, and I'm not going to - if I tell you what to do, all it'll show is that you can act along if someone tells you how. As far as general friends go, all you really have to do is be talkative and outgoing. It helps if you like Joss Whedon, Kevin Smith, or people like that. But that's just a general hint as to how you talk; just so long as you can keep the conversation going, I'm good.
My funniest life experience:
Most of the funny things that happen around me are observational things that happen with friends. And those happen too often for any one thing to really stand out. If I have to pick something, though, it's when I get together with friends every month or so, get some horrible movie, and MST3K the hell out of it.
Cool Movies:
See above "funniest experiences". My favorite movie changes too often for this question to really be relevant.
My Favorite Groups are:
I try to avoid most music nowadays. There was something so unself-consciously fun about the 80's, while most of what's on the radio now feels too plastic. As such, I'm in hibernation until glitter, big hair, and one-hit wonders are back in .
Willingness to meet others from boM:
I've met a few people from off the internet - some good, some unremarkable, it's all varies. If things went well for a long enough time and the person wasn't too far out of my way, I'd be cool with meeting. It's not really a priority, though.
Are you ready to start from scratch?
Starting from scratch? That doesn't make much sense. Everything is based on what happened before.
My typical day:
During the school year, I'm a student. I've never been one of the party people, so my life involves the usual class/studying/tutoring, plus the obligatory excuses to be social. Over the summer, keep the random bits of social, but add sitting at a circulation desk. As hinted at above, the good times are almost entirely situational humor, and "you had to be there" doesn't work well as one of these questions.
My Wish List Includes:
It seems like skydiving is a required answer here. I tried it once, didn't dislike it but wasn't driven wild, so I won't be part of the in crowd here. My current plans for the future involve finding out what I want to do with my life, make lots of money doing it, and maybe shepard in world peace if I can find the time for it. But in the shorter term, I have the sort of friends who help make sure "I'd like to" quickly turns into me actually doing it.
