My ex found a parrot. I told her that no way, no how, were we going to keep it. I listed off the reasons for not keeping it.they're noisy, make a mess and need constant attention. We talked and I finally relented and we kept the bird who hated me. He would fly across the room just to bite me, laugh (Yes, birds can laugh), and fly away. After several months, the novelty of a talking bird wore off and my ex ignored him. I felt sorry for the little guy, and even though he hated me, I would talk to him and let him sit on my shoulder. 12 years after finding him, my ex has the three houses we bought together and I have the bird. And I'm completely happy with the deal.
