I enjoy being with people who are cheerful, smart, humorous, and nice. By nice, I mean people who respect other people and treat them well. Smart is a big plus. I like to discuss big issues, but I like to look at things askew as well as seriously. I also like to have light, playful conversation. I like to hear what other people have to say about things, and I like to be reminded that my opinions (as perfectly reasoned as they are) are not the only opinions. Physical fitness is important, since I like to share activities like tennis, cycling, hiking, and frisbee. A great date might include a hike/walk/ride, dinner at home or at a restaurant with an atmosphere conducive to relaxed conversation, and maybe a movie at the theatre or a DVD at home, or even cards or a board game, or just some snuggling and chatter.
