I'm kind of shy at first, but once you get to know me I'm much more outgoing. I'm warm and loving and caring. As I mentioned, I have kind of a dry sense of humor. But I love to laugh. My biggest pet peeve is people who don't call when they say they are going to. Another is people who make plans, then cancel at the last minute. I like people I can rely on, because I think I am pretty reliable and expect the same out of others.

Well, it wasn't funny at the time, but I went out to do a bunch of errands one weekend, and when I came back home I noticed that my (cheap) pants had split all the way up the back! I wondered whether they had been that way the whole time I was out in public.

I like '80s hits, '80s and '90s dance music, '80s hair bands, '90s alternative, and some goth. My favorite artists are mostly all old - Madonna, Metallica, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran. Though I do like some stuff by groups like Linkin Park and Nickelback.

Other people have made me feel at ease if they were warm, friendly and patient listeners, with a sense of humor that appreciates mine (mine can be a bit dry, and people sometimes misunderstand and take me seriously when I'm joking). As for me, I think I am a good listener, and I have a capacity for a lot of warmth and affection that can make someone feel comfortable.

I compromise all the time at work. There are often times when I design something a certain way on purpose, and someone else on my work team doesn't like it, so I have to work out a compromise where we meet on middle ground.

I am sincerely hoping to meet someone nice on this site. Yes, I have met people off the Internet before, with mixed results. Some haven't worked out, others have turned into friends rather than lovers, and some have worked out okay.

I would definitely be starting from scratch, because it has been several years now since I was in a relationship, and I feel that all past baggage is behind me. What I am looking for is someone to fall into place in my current life situation, which is pretty good right now but simply missing a significant other.

My perfect date experience for a first date is simply having a quiet, romantic dinner in a nice but not too pricey restaurant. Someplace like Macaroni Grill or P.F. Chang's would be nice. I just would like to talk with the person and get to know them. If we're talking about someone I'm already involved with, a perfect date would be a road trip to someplace scenic like Sedona, where we could go shopping and grab a bite to eat.
