I'm a United States Marine Corps vet from about 400 years ago — give or take a few hundred years. I'm confident in myself and fear very little. I’ll look the devil in the eye and grin - but will humble myself before my Creator. I'm Scotch/Irish/Native American - my Mamaw was Aniawi Cherokee. I'm originally from the mountains of Southwestern Virginia. Not an alchy, druggy, wimp, woos, dork, geek, freak nor felon. And, not once did I ever think of sharpening my axe over the winter. My friends would say I'm easy-going, trustworthy, very open, honest, and intelligent — Boy, do I have them fooled:) I've made procrastination an art form and at times and I can be downright bullheaded too. I'm quick-witted and fun-loving with a crazy sense of humor (the good kind). I like to barbecue, the real deal, as opposed to grilling, and I make my own sauces. It seems everybody's favorite is my jalapeño-peach sauce. Ain’t nothin’ left but a pile of smoky bones when they’re done and sometimes they gnaw on them too.I love the bragging on my Q. Of course, I've learned that plying folks with copious amounts of alcohol beforehand always assures the chef's chances for compliments — Nah, just messin with ya. I don't drink to excess and I really don't try to get people to drink, but it seems the ones who drink a wee bit much, tend to brag on the Q a little more, so God bless'em — have another bone and a Bud.

Friendship more than anything else. The three most important things for me is communication, trust and communication. If I'm looking beyond anything more than friendship, then I would desire a woman with warmth & beauty emanating from within her soul as well as an outward beauty. My taste in music pretty much runs a big gamut. I surely like me some Allman Brothers Band & Grateful Dead. I can handle a bit of light classical to even music with some light rap incorporated into it *no gangsta stuff* I like rock, country, and old R&B. Ever listen to Robert Johnson, Little Walter, or Magic Sam, to name a few? How about Buddy Guy? Eric Clapton said he's the greatest guitarist alive today. Lately I've been getting into smooth jazz or a country/blues/jazz fusion kind of sound. Kinda cool, laid-back, warm & spicy. Some Bonnie Raitt, the sweet sax of Candy Dulfer or some Boz Scaggs would be sounding good to me right about now.

One must learn to let go to be able to move forward and allow the past to be what it is. You know, everyone has some kind of emotional baggage they carry to one degree or another.
