I don't think anyone I know could describe me accurately. Some would describe me as funny. Some would describe me as quiet. I'm just a complex individual. It's hard to take me at face value. I don't consider myself to be "talkative," but I don't think of myself as "quiet" either. In my opinion, just because someone doesn't feel the need to talk every waking second, doesn't mean he or she is quiet. I just don't like to bore people to death, since I know what it's like for others to bore me with un-interesting garbage in their lives. I live a pretty simple life, so if nothing interesting happened during my dayyou won't hear much out of my mouth. I think most people would describe me as nice, which would be pretty accurate. Sometimes I wish I could be mean to people, but I just have too much of a guilty conscience.

Other than having no sense of humor, being totally judgmental. I consider myself to be sort of eccentric. I don't care about "fitting in with the crowd." I don't care about being "cool" or "hip." I like to listen to music that "I" like. You look at my I-Pod playlist, and you see everything from Elvis Presley to Metallica. I don't like people who judge others for being "dorks" or "geeks," just because they don't dress or act a certain way. If I'm going to have to be alone for the rest of my life because I don't fit the criteria of a cool, hip guythen so be it.

Someone with a good sense of humor, who can provide me the companionship that I need at the moment. As you can accept me for who I amaccept that I'm not a trendy person, accept that I'm a movie geekwe should get along just fine. I want someone who can be there for me. I live a pretty lonely life, living in my own apartment, so I want someone I can talk on the phone withif not cuddle up in bed with. Being affectionate is a plus. It's always great when at the end of a bad day, there's someone who you know that loves and cares about you. I want someone who can provide me that assurance.

I listen to almost any kind of music, except I'm not too much into rap and R&B. I'm really into 80's music. I listen to stuff from many different eras, which means all that "lame" music that your parents listen to is probably on my I-Pod playlist.

Sense of humor is definitely most important. I can't stand people who take life too seriously. To put it bluntly, EVERYONE in life has problems. There are people out there who had to suffer the tragedy of their parents dying in a car accident, and you don't see those people walking around with their heads down, begging for sympathy from everyone they come into contact with. Am I a truly happy person? Not really. I believe in the Denis Leary quote: "Happiness comes in small doses." I am by no means an optimist, but unlike some other people, I choose to take all the cynicism I harbor about the world and use it towards humorlike any great stand-up comedian does. I've been with women who take life too seriously, and I can't stand to be around them. I can't stress it any more: You MUST have a sense of humor! There's no bigger joy I get out of life than to make people laugh. I figure that even if I'm not happy, it makes me feel good that I'm bringing happiness to other people's lives.

I'm fairly comfortable with meeting people off the Internet, since I've done it several times before. I understand that you have to be careful, so I always make sure we meet in a public place, in daylight, etc. Sometimes it's just hard to meet good friends or mates in the bar scene, and the Internet is actually a better method of meeting people.

I really don't ask for much out of a date, being that I'm an easygoing type of guy. I love going to the movies and I love to eat, so a typical dinner and movie would be just fine to me. The success of the date would have to do more with how well I connect with the person. It would have to do with how accepting she is of me. As long as she is accepting of me, I'd feel free to be myself, and having that sort of freedom is more than I can ever ask for.
