I am amenable to compromise in most situations. My ex was a teddy bear collector. She co-erced me into going to a convention, spending xmas eve at a teddy bear friend's home(i knew no one there). When we vacationed, she also got me to go shopping for bears at a few local teddy bear shops. You do for the ones you love because you love them, not because you like everything they do.

I pick her up. She is elated to see me. She has no idea that i have arranged for dinner to be brought to the table without her having to look at the menu(i no her favorites). We talk for hours, from appetizers through dessert. A short drive and we're in a quiet place under the moonlight. A long stroll, hand in hand, and maybe a kiss. More conversation and maybe another kiss. Fireworks? Could be. Ok, this is the perfect date. Definitely fireworks.
