Nothing in general has bothered me about people I've dated or known as friends. If they're my friends, they're fine with me, as long as they stay honest.

I am looking for:

I don't specifically know what I am looking for, and if I did, I think I would have found it. Part of me wants to get to know someone that's lived in the Northwest Indiana area for a long time. I think it's beautiful here and the people are really nice, often striking up conversation just for the heck of it.
Another part of me wants to find friends and other new folks to the area that I can identify with. I just moved here from the Twin Cities, and as a result, I'm like a three-year-old taking everything in.
And I haven't been able to quiet the voice inside me that wants to date a fire-y redhead. There's just something about the personality and way people with red hair carry themselves. Maybe it's the Irish in most of them :).
All in all, I'm looking for someone that's in sync with me and at the same place in life (starting something new and ready to take life by the horns) and ideally enjoys getting out into nature.

My funniest moments are any time all my siblings and in-laws are around. I love my family and there are too many great times with all of them to mention. I'm truly blessed that we all get along so well.

Arachniphobia - because it's the only movie that's scared the &%$ out of me
Dao of Steve - because it was funny and cute. A romantic comedy for guys.
Hero - fantastic story line, symbolism, and cinematography

I like modern alternative. Read: I listen to the radio in the car, and I also like to listen to classical and jazz. To be able to tell a story without words is what makes those to genres.

Honesty above all else helps me be me, since you are being you. A person that's true and doesn't feel the need to impress makes things 400 times easier and I generally get along quite well with people who are not going to BS with me until they get to know me. Sarcasm is fine, but only when the other person knows you're being sarcastic.

I'm looking to meet some people. Online friends are great, but I already have a few of those and I like to get away from my computer. I've met a couple people from the internet before, and as long as you realize that it's only as uncomfortable as talking with someone you've never met before, it's fine.

Are you ready to start from scratch?

I'm definitely looking to start from scratch. I already have for the most part (new job, new place, new hobbies), and it doesn't bother me. I can go back to what worked for me before, but I want to explore new things. Though, some company along the way would be great.

My typical day:

A perfect date for me would be filled with never ending conversation over dinner and then a walk around the area, be it a park, city, or countryside. I love to cook and love to go out as well.
For those interested, a day in my life includes the following:
weekday: up at 5, to work by 6, off around 3 or 4 depending on how much &%* hits the fan, early dinner, and then some relaxation and errands time (which will usually include a bikeride)
weekend: up around 8 or 9, breakfast and a workout (long ride or a trip to the gym if it's lousy outside), then a day of fun or a day trip.

My Wish List Includes:

I'm going to work on getting my pilot's license and want to learn to play the harp. I think these are two fairly unique hobbies and conversation pieces. Unfortunately, they're expensive hobbies, so I'll have to work at budgeting for them, as well as my future.
I've thought about skydiving, but the appeal just isn't quite there for me. Someday, to prove to myself that I can do it, I will camp for a week in the wilderness on a cayaking trip.
