People usually say that I am pretty laid back, and have an optimistic outlook on life. But I have to warn you, I have been accused of being a smartass on more than one occasion. I have also been told that I have a bent sense of humor as well. I grew up in the Chicago area so sarcasm has bonded with my DNA. I think it has something to do with the water there…

I am looking for a non-smoker who doesn’t take themselves too serious, is upbeat, fun, likes to travel and is fairly active. I am no tri-athlete but do enjoy hiking, biking and love snowboarding. Of course a lazy weekend road trip is always nice as well. Someone that will not something as insignificant as a torrential down pour spoil a camping trip… Spontaneity is a big plus.
Also if someone is interested in taking sailing lessons that would be cool too. I plan on trying to get my bareboat certification (and no, it probably isn’t what you think) over the next year or two.

My funniest life experience:

It is too long of a story to put here, but basically it includes a brand new (at the time, very expensive) Palm Pilot, a fifty cent golf ball, a ten foot high embankment, a shallow muddy river, and a very sturdy looking root that turns out to be a very flimsy small broken stick, spectacular but not graceful acrobatics and my best friends new Volvo with leather seats…
